Dropraise (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a platform that helps runners and donors connect through micro-donations for charitable causes.
We act as the data controller for personal data we collect directly from you.
Dropraise is intended for use only by individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and any associated personal data.
We collect only what’s needed to run the app, improve your experience, and meet legal requirements. This includes:
Account details: name, email address, password, profile photo (optional).
Fundraiser details: campaign title, description, photos/videos, selected charity.
Donation details: donation amount, chosen payment method, and whether you allow your name to be visible to the fundraiser.
Communication: messages you send to our support team or feedback you submit.
App usage data: swipes, likes, skips, donation history, time spent in-app, preferences you set.
Device & log data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, crash logs.
Location data: if you enable location-based features (optional).
Charity partner integrations (e.g., syncing donations to a charity’s primary fundraising platform).
Payment processors (to confirm and process your donations).
We use your information to:
Run the app – create and manage your account, process donations, connect you with campaigns.
Improve the experience – personalize campaign recommendations, track donation impact, measure feature performance.
Ensure trust & safety – verify fundraisers, detect fraud, enforce community standards.
Communicate with you – send updates, impact reports, and important notices.
Meet legal obligations – comply with tax, financial reporting, and anti-fraud requirements.
We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Charities – if you donate to them, they may receive your name, email, and donation details (only if you opt in).
Payment processors – to handle secure transactions (e.g., PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo).
Analytics providers – to improve the app and fix bugs (in aggregated or anonymized form where possible).
Service providers – who help us operate the platform (bound by confidentiality agreements).

Access & correction – you can view and update your information in the app.
Deletion – request to delete your account and data at any time.

If you access Dropraise from outside the United States, your data will be processed in the U.S. (and possibly other countries where our partners operate), which may have different data protection laws.
